Birch is located at the very east end of the resort. This studio home is located about 3 feet from water’s edge. Corner fireplace with TV above (DirecTV). Lots of windows. Private Firepit. Built in 2017 – new square log construction.
There is a loft above the queen bed with a twin bed.

Birch trees and the cabin called “Birch” at Pine Cone Lodge on Big Sand Lake outside of Park Rapids, Minnesota, are the inspiration for this work. The images of the black and white trees in the water are vivid in my imagination, with black and white keys representing them with a shimmery texture underneath. All the while, birds’ singing comes from all directions, and their echoes heard across the lake. It builds into the midday;the hot sun beats on all the living things. Its rays reflect off of the water and trees, the picturesque view too surreal. The gleaming of the sun fades in the west, and the birds sing their final calls before vanishing into the dark. All that remains, is the last shimmer of trees in the sunset.
